Diego López leads the table of penalties tackled

The goalkeeper again stopped another in Budapest and in the parakeet club he has stopped six of 19, so he keeps his statistic of stopping one in three.

Apart from the two assists of Pipa and Darder's goal in extremis, the other protagonist of Ferencvaros-Espanyol was Diego López. The Galician stopped a penalty committed by Fernando Calero, although he could not do the same with what caused Ander Iturraspe. After the stop, he celebrated the merit with the bench, making it clear that the coaching staff informs him of the best options of the pitchers.

The success rate of Diego López stopping penalties is very high. In Espanyol, since defending the goal in the 2016-17 campaign, he has thrown 19 maximum penalties and has managed to stop six of them, which is 30%. Diego López stops, therefore, one in three penalties.

In recent history, who had the best average was Kiko Casilla, able to stop two of the nine penalties (29%). Far above Carlos Kameni, who stagnated: in total, he stopped five of 29, which is equivalent to 17%. With the same figure is Cristian Álvarez, cutting two of 12. And Pau averaged 11% .
