Roglic continues to lead the UCI ranking solidly

The world ranking did not undergo major changes in the last week. Valverde continues as the best Spanish in position four.

Primoz Roglic (30 years old) continues as a solid leader of the UCI World Tour ranking. The Slovenian maintains a considerable advantage over his most immediate pursuers, the Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe and the Danish Jakob Fuglsang, and consolidated his leadership this week with his triumph in the Emilia Giro.

Unless capitalized surprise and taking into account the few remaining dates to be played in the final stretch of the season, Roglic has all the ballots to finish as number 1 at the end of the year for the first time in his career. Alejandro Valverde ranks fourth as best Spanish and this week he climbed two positions after his second place last Sunday at GP Beghelli.
