Roglic: "I was wrong: I was not where I had to be"

The race leader did not get into the cut, something that allowed Nairo Quintana to get into the fight for the general. "We lost the battle, but not the war."

Primoz Roglic, the leader of the Vuelta, suffered a setback in the race by not entering the fan cut of the Guadalajara stage and allowed Nairo Quintana to place second at 2:24: I was wrong: I was not where I had to be. It should have been on the first line of the platoon. The team saved me with great effort and thanks to them I maintain a good position. My rivals left from the beginning and that was the tonic for the rest of the day ".

Roglic insisted on thanking his team the Jumbo Visma for the work:" It is clear that our team did a great job but there was a time when We could give more and the others had to take the alternative. It was a hard day. We lost a battle, but not the war ".

Roglic says he knew" keep calm ": I never felt I was losing La Vuelta. There were other teams apart from mine interested in reaching the finish line as close as possible to the race head. We'll see in Madrid but things still have a good color. Lap 19 is quite unpredictable and we can expect a great fight in the days that remain. "
