Tour of Burgos: victory and leadership for Sosa

Third stage of the Tour of Burgos with a 150-kilometer route between Sargentes de la Lora and the arrival at Picón Blanco, decisive for the general.

Ivan Sosa was the strongest in the final ascent to Picón Blanco. He won a double prize at the top: the stage victory and the leader's jersey. The Colombian attacked in the absence of 2 kilometers for the goal and nobody was able to follow the wheel. Behind, Óscar Rodríguez was second and Antonio Pedrero third. Of the rest of the favorites, Richard Carapaz left 37 seconds at the finish line. Sosa has 17 seconds of advantage in the general classification with respect to the second classified that is the Spanish Óscar Rodríguez.

stop at Picón Blanco. After a quiet start, cyclists will make the ascents to Alto de la Mota (3rd, 4.5 km. At 6%), Alto Escalerón (3rd, 3.6 km. At 6%) and Alto de Ailanes (2, 8 km at 7.5%). From here you will have a quiet stretch that will take you to Alto de Retuerta (3, 3.8 km at 7.5%) to head for Espinosa de los Monteros, where the final climb to Picón Blanco, a special category port with its 7.8 kilometers at 9.3% .
