The platoon remembers Bjorg Lambrecht on the BinckBank Tour

The participants kept a minute of silence before taking the exit of the third stage in Aalter. Today's tour passes through the corridor's hometown.

The platoon competing in the Binck Bank Tour wanted to keep a minute of silence in memory of the Lotto-Soudal cyclist Bjorg Lambrecht, who died last week during the Tour of Poland dispute after crashing into a sewer.

Before the Departure at Aalter The Lotto-Soudal runners took the lead of the squad to pay homage to their partner. The third stage included in his tour a passage through the town of Knesselare, the hometown of the corridor and included in the municipality of Aalter, where a funeral was held in his memory on Tuesday.

After passing through Knesselare the career director of BinckBank Tour, Rob Discart, and the mayor of Aalter, Pieter de Crem, stopped to deliver a bouquet of flowers to members of the Lambrecht fan club, who reminded the cyclist with posters with his image and banners.
