Silverstone renews its presence in F1 until 2024

Mexico, Montmelóy Hockenheim still have no agreement and can only stay one if they want to keep the 21 races of the calendar.

The GP of Great Britain announces its renewal with the F1 at least until 2024. In a press conference held this Wednesday in Silverstone, the circuit, the BRDC and the organization of the championship confirm the continuity of this race, which was taken for granted from months ago but that had not yet materialized in figures. It was one of the pending circuits to follow in the calendar, such as Mexico, Montmeló and Hockenheim, of which only one more can be maintained next year.

The F1 wants 21 races in the calendar and with the inclusions of Zandvoort (Holland) and Hanoi (Vietnam), must fall two. Monza has also reached an agreement to follow. Regarding countries that risk losing the 'Great Circus', Mexico took a step forward in recent weeks reinforcing funding that does not come from the national government. For Liberty that is a great market that do not want to lose and with little chance to the 'old' Europe in the form of two classic races, Spain and Germany, which have complicated continuity
