Serena, Fognini and Kyrgios, fined by Wimbledon

The American has been punished with this fine for hitting the court with her racket during a workout. The organization also punished Fognini and the Australian.


US tennis player Serena Williams has been punished with 10,000 dollars (8,921 euros) for having damaged one of the grass courts of Wimbledon after hitting the surface with her racket.

The incident would have occurred during a training session prior to the tournament but not the incident was specified.

Fabio Fognini was also fined $ 3,000 (2,680 euros) for his statements during his match against Tennys Sandgren in which he said that "would have to explode a bomb here" .

Other tennis player that received sanction has been Nick Kyrgios. The Australian has received two fines, one of $ 3,000 (2,680 euros) and 5,000 dollars (4,460 euros) for unsportsmanlike conduct in his first round matches against his compatriot Jordan Thompson and second-round against Spanish Rafa Nadal respectively.
