Movistar confirms Nairo, Landa and Valverde for the Tour

The telephone team has offered this Monday its list for the Tour de France 2019. Along with the three leaders will come Marc Soler or Andrey Amador among others.

Movistar bets strong for the Tour de France 2019 with Nairo Quintana, Mikel Landa and Alejandro Valverde in his list of eight runners. The team of Eusebio Unzué has confirmed on Monday its official line-up for the gala round, which starts this Saturday in Brussels and that will mean the 37th consecutive participation of the team in the Grande Boucle.

Movistar that repeated the 'tricephalia' of last year was a secret to voices that has been confirmed this morning. Nairo Quintana will depart as a theoretical head of ranks in search of the precious 'Yellow Dream' that he already caressed in 2013 and 2015 and that has resisted him more in recent years, finishing far from the podium in Paris.

To Nairo will be Mikel Landa. The Alava, who comes to graze the podium in the Giro (finished 8 seconds from Roglic) wants to settle his outstanding accounts with the race, where for a second he was out of the podium in 2017. A priori Landa will help Nairo in the days of mountain but if it can present / display its candidacy to fight by the general.

The third party in discord is Alejandro Valverde. DAfter not competing in the Giro after his previous fall to Liège-Bastoña-Liege, the Murcia arrives in form after conquering the en-route test of the Spanish Championships. Valverde will wear the rainbow jersey of the world champion and will work for Nairo and Landa will also have the freedom to fight in the massive arrivals and in the stages with final trap.

The powerful team of Movistar for the Tour is completed by the promising Marc Soler, Andrey Amador and Carlos Verona, who will be in charge of working in the mountain, and Nelson Oliveira and the veteran Imanol Erviti, who will be in charge of taking their companions on the plain.
