Hanga renews with Barcelona for three seasons

The Hungarian forward and the Barça team have reached an agreement to extend their relationship until June 2023. The contract, in 2 + 1 format.


Hungarian forward Adam Hanga (30 years and 2.01 meters) will remain in Barcelona until June 30, 2023 after the club has renewed his contract, which ends on June 30, 2020, for the next two seasons with option to a third (until June 2023)

Hanga came to Barcelona in the 2017-2018 season from the Baskonia with a contract for three seasons after being named Best Defender of the Euorliga in 2018.

In the last has been one of the men key of Svetislav Pesic, especially as defender and fundamental piece from the defense in the azulgrana offensive transition.

Desting in the two Copa del Rey titles achieved by Barça Lassa de Pesic in the last two seasons, both Hanga, in defense, and Heurtel, in attack, were two fundamental pieces to achieve them.

Although this last season he could not do it in full since an injury in his left knee took him to surgery and did not play until the end of October, Svetislav Pesic used him in 35 Endesa league matches, 14 as a starter, with an average of 22 minutes, averaging 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists per game with 60% in shots of two, 35% in triples and 71% in free throws.

In the Euroleague he played 27 games, 13 as a starter with 21 minutes on average, 8.8 points, 3 rebounds and 1.9 assists, with 57% in shots of two, 285 in triples and 75% in free throws.
