Borja points to more expensive signing in the history of Betis

New meeting with its agents, with whom a financing formula is sought that would exceed the disbursement by Denilson in 1998.

The contacts between Betis and the agents of Borja Iglesias, Lorenzo and Alberto Toldrá, have been constant in recent times and this same Monday there has been another meeting in Seville to try to find formulas by which the striker can finish in Heliopolis. The club from Verdiblanco is negotiating with Espanyol, who wants at least 28 million of the clause of the player and in Benito Villamarín, as it was published in AS a few weeks ago, they think about it.

The Betis knows that Borja Iglesias is the star reinforcement that he wants for his attack after having triumphed with Rubi and looking for external financing to face the payment of those 28 million, but it can be done in installments. Chen Yansheng, owner of Espanyol, wants to cash in cash.

This is the great difficulty of the team from Verdiblanco, which if it obtains financing through a loan or an investment fund will be facing the most expensive signing of its history, in order to overcome the 30 million euros (5,000 million pesetas of the time) that he paid for the Brazilian Denilson de Oliveira in 1998.
