Tolhoek wins and Bernal takes the lead in Switzerland

The Dutchman took the sixth stage, which ended with the promising Colombian Ineos donning a leader's jersey. Soler is sixth.


The Dutch Antwan Tolhoek (Team Jumbo-Visma) won on Thursday the sixth stage of the Tour of Switzerland, in which the Colombian Egan Bernal (Team INEOS) stood as leader of the general classification. Tolhoek got his first triumph as a professional in the first mountain stage played between the towns of Einsiedeln and Flumserberg, after 120.2 kilometers of race and a finish on a peak of 1,220 meters altitude.

In second position finished Bernal, 22 years, that was placed as leader with 12 seconds of advantage over the Australian Rohan Dennis (Bahrain Mérida Pro Team) and 29 over the Austrian Patrick Konrad (Bora-Hansgrohe). As for the Spanish representation, Marc Soler (Movistar Team) is sixth in the general classification at 41 seconds of the Colombian.
