Thomas thinks about the Tour after his fall in Switzerland: "I will need great training"

The Ineos cyclist thanked the signs of encouragement received after his fall in Switzerland and is optimistic on his way to the Tour de France, where he will defend his 2018 title.

Geraint Thomas wanted to reassure the fans after the crash he suffered during the fourth stage of the Tour of Switzerland. After being subjected to several tests, late in the night the Ineos announced that Thomas had not suffered serious injuries and that his participation in the Tour de France was not endangered.

Thomas himself wrote a series of messages on Wednesday morning to show that he was well and eager to return to training to prepare the Grande Boucle. "Thank you for all your messages Disappointed to leave at the Swiss Tour but fortunately I'm fine, I hit my head and I needed several stitches over the eye, so the doctors stopped me when I was going to get on the bike That means that I will need a lot of training next week Oh, and I also lost another pair of glasses ", commented the Welsh cyclist.
