The world of motorcycling does not forget Luis Salom

Some of his former paddock companions have reminded the Mallorcan on the third anniversary of his death.


This Monday is a day of remembrance in the motorcycling world since is three years since the death of Luis Salom at the Grand Prix of Catalonia. Everything went smoothly until the second free practice of the Moto2 category began when the Spaniard suffered a sharp fall when entering turn 12 of the Circuit de Catalunya.

Salom was immediately transferred to the General University Hospital of Catalonia where he arrived with lifetime. Unfortunately could not overcome the injuries that occurred in the fall and the doctors could not do anything for his life. What should be a party for Spanish motorcycling, became a tragedy.

Salom, who at the time of his death was 24 years old, was a much loved pilot in the paddock and therefore, many of which were his companions On the grill they wanted to remind him through messages on social networks. A beautiful sample of that nobody forgets.

The brothers Márquez have used the stories of 'Instagram' to pay tribute to the Mallorcan. Marc has used a photo of him on top of his Repsol Honda in which you can see how the number 39 indicates, the one used by Luis Salom, and the text "Luis Salom, three years". For his part, Alex has posted a photo in which you can see the two very happy on a podium.

They have not been the only ones since riders like Maverick Viñales, Sandro Cortese or Miguel Oliveira has also remembered Salom. Spanish has done it with a message on 'Twitter' that says: "Rest in peace, my friend." The German has used the Márquez formula with a photograph in which the two compete and a message that says: "We miss you Luis". For his part, the Portuguese has published an image on his 'Instagram' in which the two are hugged.

Also the official account of 'Twitter' of MotoGP has had a nice gesture with Salom. "Always in our hearts", says the message.
