The Europa League starts today 190 kilometers from Cornellà

Four weeks before the Espanyol de Gallego debuts in the competition, Andorra la Vella hosts the preliminary between Sant Julià and Gibraltar Europe.

Four weeks remain for el Espanyol of David Gallego debuts in the Europa League. But only a few hours for the competition to roll. Up to 14 teams are already in play in a preliminary round which has as the most curious elimination to be played at just 190 kilometers from the RCDE Stadium.

This is the confrontation between the Sant Julià Andorrano and the Europe of Gibraltar, whose leg will be played This Thursday at 20:00 at the Estadi Comunal de Andorra la Vella. Both teams have barely enjoyed vacations: the locals finished their league in second place (champion was the Santa Coloma, who is competing these days in Pristina, Kosovo, a sort of final four to qualify for the previous Champions) on 18 May, and a week later the Gibraltarians proclaimed themselves champions of their Copa.

Además, and almost without pre-season, both present novelties. In the Sant Julià even as a coach, with the debut of Emiliano González, and fs such as Soualio Bakayoko, brother of the player from Chelsea and Milan. Europe also has half a dozen additions, including a Adrian Gallardo that comes from Xerez Deportivo and that before had played in the Philippines or Maldives. A modest football to kick off an elite competition.
