Roglic stalks Alaphlippe and Carapaz, Nibali and Landa go up

The Slovenian is 50 points behind the Frenchman after the Giro d'Italia. Valverde continues in the Top-10 and Carapaz and Landa enter the Top-50 after the pink corsa.


Julian Alaphlippe remains one more week as leader of the UCI world ranking despite not having competed in the Giro d'Italia. The French is still at the top with 3,745.95 points, although brings in only fifty to Primoz Roglic, who wins three positions to be second with 3,695.28 points. Alejandro Valverde remains in the Top-10 of the standings in fourth position with 2,943 points. In that Top-10 also enters Pascal Ackermann, who climbs 11 positions to be placed eighth with 2,450 points.

The great drop stars Tom Dumoulin, that can not revalidate the subchampionship achieved last year falls 10 positions and is now twelfth with 2,232.86 points. For its part, Vincenzo Nibali, Richard Carapaz and Mikel Landa star in the big climbs of the week. 'Lo Squalo' climbs 44 places to stand 23rd with 1,704.86 points, Carapaz climbs 35 positions to 27th place with 1,628 points and Landa is ranked 47th with 1,233 points, gaining 42 positions.

Alaphilippe also remains at the top of the one day race standings with 2,265 points ahead of Dutchman Mathieu Van der Poel, second with 2,178 points. There have been no significant changes this week so Alejandro Valverde remains at the gates of the Top-10 in eleventh position with 1,381 points.
