Nigeria calls Moses Simon for the African Cup

Moses Simon, Levante winger, will represent the Granota club in the African Cup, as will squad Aly Abeid with Mauritania.

Levante winger Moses Simon is on the final list of 23 players from Nigeria for the next edition of the African Cup, which will take place in Egypt from June 21 to July 19. While the German coach Gernot Rohr has left Kelechi Iheanacho and Semi Ajayi out of the citation.

After a strong African bid in the summer, with four selectable potentials for the continental tournament, Simon is the only one who will represent the Orriols team. Emmanuel Boateng, who left in February to the Chinese Dalian Yifang, and Raphael Dwamena will not be with Ghana, while Cheick Doukouré, long-term injured, will also not be with Ivory Coast.

Aly Abeid, historical premiere with Mauritania

The one who will be is Aly Abeid, after qualifying with Mauritania for the first time in history. The side canterano, loaned last season at the Alcorcón, will be part of the first Mauritanian national team to debut in the African Cup.
