Mollema celebrates his first podium in a big one after the disqualification of Cobo

The Dutch cyclist of the Trek-Segafredo celebrated with his followers through social networks his first Top-3 in the general of a big one after the disqualification of Cobo.

The disqualification of Juanjo Cobo as winner of the Tour of Spain 2011 after detecting abnormal values in his biological passport left the peloton in shock as the announcement comes almost 8 years after the Cantabrian cyclist raised his arms on the podium in Madrid.

With the sanction of Cobo, two cyclists would be the great beneficiaries at the time of varying their result in the Spanish round. The first one is Chris Froome, who would be the new winner of the test. The second, the Dutch Bauke Mollema, who would rise to the third position, thus adding his first podium in a big round.

Already know the news, Mollema wanted to celebrate what would be his first Top-3 in a big one with an image of that edition of the Vuelta in which he competed with the colors of Rabobank and another in which he appears posing with a glass of wine with the comment: "Health for my first big podium in a great round !?" next to the hashtag # Vuelta2011 and # 8yearslater. Mollema would add the podium of the Vuelta to a list of winners in which he already has stage wins in the Spanish round and in the Tour de France and his triumph in the Classic of San Sebastian 2016.
