Modric, awarded as the best Croatian footballer of the season

Luka Modric (33 years old) received the award for best Croatian soccer player of the season on Sunday, in a ceremony organized by the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) in Opatija, 200 kilometers from Zagreb. It is the seventh consecutive campaign in which the Real Madrid midfielder receives this award, which is voted by the players and coaches of the Croatian first division.
