Fabio Aru and Dan Martin lead an Emirates without Gaviria

The Italian and the Irish will be the leaders of the team on the mountain while Alexander Kristoff and Jasper Philipsen will try to supply the Colombian in the massive arrivals.

The UAE team Emirates has announced on Thursday its list of eight riders for the Tour de France 2019. In the lineup highlights the presence of Fabio Aru, absent in the past Giro d'Italia, which returns to compete in the round two years later.

Aru, fifth in the Tour of 2017, will be the leader of the Emirates team together with the Irish Dan Martin, eighth last year and who is shaping up as one of the men to follow in the mountains and in the arrivals on walls. Aru and Martin will have the support in the mountain of the Portuguese Rui Costa and the Colombian Sergio Henao.

The Emirates UAE can not count on the Tour with Fernando Gaviria, who is not fully recovered from the knee discomfort suffered in the Tour. His absence in the vaults will try to cover the Norwegian Alexander Kristoff and the young Belgian Jasper Philipsen. The Norwegians Sven Bystrom and Vegard Stake Laengen complete the team.
