Bobic: "We wanted to keep Jovic, but the reason led us to change his mind ..."

"He has the possibility of winning the most important titles there, without mentioning the different salary level, which is a great opportunity for him," said the sports director.

The sports director of Eintracht Frankfurt, Fredi Bobic, acknowledged that there was no alternative to Serbian Luka Jovic's million-dollar sale to Real Madrid and that the German team wanted to continue counting on the striker.

"We really wanted to keep it, but the reason and the sense of reality led us to make a different decision, " Bobic told the German newspaper 'Bild', the day after the biggest sale in the history of the Bundesliga club.

Serbian Jovic, which Frankfurt bought from Benfica Luso, was sold to Real Madrid between 65 to 70 million euros and stamped his signature with the targets until 2025.

Bobic indicated that he sees the top scorer of Eintracht Frankfurt last season in good hands in his new destination. "He has the possibility of moving to one of the best clubs in Europe and winning the most important titles there, without mentioning the different salary level, it's a great opportunity for him" , said the former German player.
