The Frenchman signed a feat of more than 200 kilometers in flight along with De Marchi (CCC) and Muhlberger (Bora-Hansgrohe) that had a double prize: stage victory in a very tight sprint and mountain jersey. Among the favorites there was no differences, although they did not make the slightest movement to disturb the leadership of Adam Yates.
