The Spaniards in the Giro: Rojas and Plaza dreamed of the triumph

The two Spaniards were present in the day's escape, in which Masnada was the strongest, and finished third and fourth, respectively.

Fausto Masnada won the sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia, the first in which the fugue was successful. The Italian beat Conti, second, and new leader of the race. Both achieved their respective objectives. José Joaquín Rojas and Rubén Plaza dreamed of the stage, jumped from the escape to pursue the two Italians, but failed to neutralize them.

This was the Spaniards in the 6th stage of the Giro d'Italia 2019:

José Joaquín Rojas (3rd ) : He fought in the escape and jumped for Masnada and Conti. He finished in third place, a great place for Cieza.

Rubén Plaza (4th) : His dream of winning in the big three (he only needs the Giro) will have to wait. Of course, the veteran runner gave it all.

Mikel Nieve (31º) : He arrived with the squad next to his leader, Simon Yates.

Víctor de la Parte (45º) : The Vitoriano, who arrived with the group, loses his place of top ten in the general in favor of the fugados.

Mikel Landa (59º): Day saved for the one of the Movistar, that sure thinks about the way to trim his disadvantage in next steps.

Pello Bilbao (81º): No problems, arrived in the main group and also low places in the general in favor of the fugados of the day.

Antonio Pedrero (82º): Day without incidents for the Movistar.

Ion Izagirre (100º): Spanish was the number one hundred in goal, to colo of the main platoon.

Juan José Lobato (113º) : Entered in a second group 16 minutes away from Masnada.

Lluis Má s (114º) : He arrived at 22 minutes to the goal, recovering for next days.

Markel Irizar (115º): The veteran Spanish runner entered the finish line with Mas.

Franciso José Ventoso (119º): He entered the second peloton, 23 minutes away from the winner.

Hector Carretero (153º) : He arrived at the second platoon's tail, saving one more day for his leaders Landa and Carapaz.
