The Spaniards in the Giro: no surprises despite the rain

All entered with the squad in a day without differences in the general and that was resolved to the sprint, which could not compete for the victory despite being seen Lobato.

Quiet quiet despite the tension that always produces the appearance of rain in the Giro d'Italia. In the fifth stage, which passed under a considerable blanket of water and won the German Pascal Ackermann, none of the Spaniards who dispute the race suffered any startle and all crossed the line framed in the peloton. No time differences were made in the general classification.

This was the way the Spaniards did in the 5th stage of the Giro d'Italia 2019:

Juan José Lobato (14º): He was seen in the fight before the final sprint but then he could not fight for the victory.

Mikel Landa (39º) : He entered the front of the platoon.

Víctor De la Parte (40º) : He also entered in front of his ex-partner in the Movistar.

Markel Irizar (41º): The veteran of the Trek also entered near his Basque countryman.

Francisco Ventoso (54º) : He arrived without problems in the main group.

José Joaquín Rojas (64º) : He protected Landa throughout the stage and finished in the main group.

Lluis Mas (66º) : Another who took care of Landa and entered without any mishap.

Pello Bilbao (98º) : He saved the day without problems and entered the back of the peloton.

Mikel Nieve (101º): Accompanied his leader in the Mitchelton, Yates.

Antonio Pedrero (103º) : Another who worked so that Landa did not have scares.

Ion Izagirre (159º) : After yesterday's fall he took it calmly and entered the last.

Héctor Carretero (163º) : Like the rest of the gregarious people of Movistar, he took care of Landa.
