Stage 8: Classifications of the day and so is the general Giro

Caleb Ewan beat Elia Viviani and Pascal Ackermann to the sprint at a stage that did not cause major changes in the overall standings.

In a stage without a lot of history, the eighth of this Giro d'Italia 2019, the Australian of the Lotto-Soudal Caleb Ewan won a three-lane sprint for the Italian Elia Viviani and the German Pascal Ackermann, carrier of the cyclamen jersey to the leader of the classification of career points. There were no major changes in the overall before the time trial on Thursday and the Italian Valerio Conti is still the leader.
