Rigoberto Urán returns in the Tour of California after his injury

The Colombian cyclist will lead Education First in the Californian round in his return to competition after the clavicle fracture he suffered in Paris-Nice.

Rigoberto Urán already has a date to get back on the bicycle in competition after the hard fall in Paris-Nice in which he fractured his clavicle. 'Rigo 'will be the leader of Education First in the Tour of California, which is celebrated from May 12 to 18.

The Colombian confirmed his return in an interview at Radio Caracol. "I'll be back in the Tour of California, the goal is to start the Tour de France in good shape" , said Urán, who has fully recovered from his fall. "The doctor told me I could run again, I no longer have pain in my shoulder, and three weeks ago I went back on the road, everything is going very well" .

Urán, second in the Tour de France 2017 and who had to leave last year after the hard fall that suffered in the day of Roubaix (despite it played two more stages), needs to take shape for the gala round, since in this 2019 has only completed 8 days of competition: the six stages of the Tour Colombia 2.1, where he was sixth in the overall, and the two stages of Paris-Nice, leaving in the second of them after the fall he suffered.
