Manu García plays 250 games with the elastic of the 'Glorioso'

The captain of the Albiazul team entered the second half in the clash against Valencia de Mestalla being the seventh player with more games in club history.

Manu García is a clear reference in the current Alavés. Last Sunday he did not start in the starting line against Valencia but he did enter the field in the second half. In fact, there was a double change: Manu and Twumasi for Pina and Rolan in the 75 minute. Once he entered the field, he played his 250th game with the albiazul shirt.

The player with the most historical presence with the Vitoriana elastic is the Argentine Martín Astudillo, con 346. Pablo takes 295, Téllez 276, Ibarra 271, Gorospe 269 and Antonio Karmona, the Biscayan of Bermeo, 259.

Manu debuted with the Alavés in First with 30 years since before he was in squads as San Viator , Real Sociedad, Eibar, Real Union, UD. Logroñés or Girona among others. He has been in the Mendizorroza team in Segunda B, Segunda and Liga Santander.

The Alava has one more season of contract but his dream is to reach 2021 because in that season will be the centenary of the Paseo de Cervantes club. Speaking of ephemeris, this Thursday will be the anniversary of the UEFA Cup final between the Vitorians and Liverpool. The match was played on May 16, 2001 and finished 5-4 in favor of the British.
