Laverty suffers a sharp fall and fractures both wrists

The pilot of the Ducati team suffered a serious fall that forced the training session to stop in Imola. He has been transferred to the hospital.


The Briton Eugene Laverty (Ducati Panigale V4R) suffered a strong crash during the first round of free practice of the fifth scoring round for the world championship of Superbike which takes place in the Italian circuit of Imola.

The accident forced the management of race to show red flag so that the pilot could be attended and the assistants removed the bike from the track, where it was thrown. Laverty has been transferred to the circuit clinic to perform a series of x-rays of his hands. Doctors have observed that he suffers fractures in the wrists of his two arms and will be transferred to the Imola hospital for a more complete medical examination.
