Arsenal regrets Baku's "unacceptable" choice for the Europa League final

"We have 45,000 subscribers and many fans who will miss the final because of the venue chosen by UEFA," denounced the London club.

Arsenal has lamented that the election of Baku as host city of the European League final is "unacceptable" , after receiving complaints from its fans for tickets and travel logistics.

The 'gunner' team will face the Chelsea on May 29 in the capital of Azerbaijan. Both teams received only 6,000 tickets for the match at the Olympic Stadium in Baku, which has a capacity for more than 68,000 spectators and is located 4,000 kilometers from London.

"Time will tell whether it is possible for 6,000 Arsenal fans to attend the match , given the extremes of the travel challenges We have 45,000 subscribers and many fans who will miss the final because of the venue chosen by UEFA. We urge UEFA to ensure that the logistics and requirements of the fans are a key part of any decision for future venues, since what has happened this season is unacceptable and can not be repeated ", denounced the English club.

The city of Baku was chosen by the UEFA executive committee as the seat of the final in September of 2017, surpassing the candidatures of Seville and Istanbul.
