Wöber has broken the inner meniscus of his right knee

The Austrian defender was injured in the second half of the game against Valencia and practically says goodbye to what remains of the season.

The worst omens were fulfilled and the medical tests he underwent on Monday revealed that the Austrian Max Wöber suffers a rupture of the inner meniscus of his right knee. The Sevilla defender suffered a blow midway through the second half and could not be replaced since Caparros had already made all three changes. He finished the game very painful and left the stadium limping ostensibly.

Sevilla were already feared the worst since Wöber had previously shown some physical weakness, since there were several games in which he had to leave the lawn before time since it reached Nervión at the end of January. The club did not provide an estimated withdrawal period, since in the next few days the treatment to which the ex of Ajax will be submitted will be decided. In any case, the season seems more than finiquitada for Wöber, by which el Sevilla will have to exercise a compulsory purchase option at the end of the season of 11 million euross.
