Vendrame wins the sprint at the Tro-Bro Léon

The Italian rider of the Androni Giocattoli rounded off his month of April signing his second professional triumph after that of Sarthe of 10 days ago.


La Tro-Bro Léon of 2019 was decided on an arrival to the sprint among a reduced number of runners. The Italian Andrea Vendrame, of Androni Giocattoli, managed to prevail in the arrival, culminating thus a month of April round for him with his second victory as a professional (ten days ago he got the first in the Sarthe) .

The tour took place once more in French lands, in Lannilis and the outskirts of Finisterre, with s of land and some stretches of cobblestones being the protagonists. Runners like Damien Gaudin were in charge of making the first selection of the day, although they finally failed to finish.

In the last meters, after 5 hours of stage and 205 kilometers traveled, Vendrame was the fastest sprint after overtaking Baptiste Planckaert and Emil Vinjebo, who completed the podium. Among the Spaniards, Sergio Rodríguez (Euskadi Murias) also climbed the box after winning the special sprints of the race.
