Van der Breggen wins the Valona Flecha and equals Vos and Valverde at Huy's Wall

The Dutch, current world champion, beat Annemiek Van Vleuten and Annika Langvad to add their fifth consecutive win. Mavi García, in the Top-10.


Anna Van der Breggen continues to make history in the world of women's cycling. The Dutch cyclist, current world champion en route, achieved victory in the Flecha Valona 2019 to get her fifth title in the race consecutively. However, on the hard ramps of the Camino de The Mackaij Chapels were chased by the favorite group of which Anna Van der Breggen left to prevail over Annemiek Van Vleuten and her teammate Annika Langvad and add their fifth consecutive victory in the Wall of Huy to equal in the palmares to Marianne Vos and Alejandro Valverde.
