Las lasicas de las Ardenas are here. This Sunday is the first episode with the 54th edition of the Amstel Gold Race, where a wide range of favorites opt for victory: Alejandro Valverde, Philippe Gilbert, Julian Alaphilippe, Mathieu Van der Poel and many others.

The route keeps the changes that were introduced in the 2017 edition, so the Cauberg will not be the last elevation of the 35222222 ascents that presents the profile of the race. The climb to Bemelerberg, about 7 kilometers from the finish line, will be decisive in the final result. In total, the riders will have to face an demanding route of 258 kilometers, starting from Vrijthof at Maastricht and ending at the village of Vilt, belonging to the municipality of Valkenburg.
