Zurich will host the World Cycling Championships in Route 2024

The Swiss Federation announced on Thursday that Zurich will host the Cycling and Para-cycling World Championships to be held in 2024.

The Swiss city of Zurich will host the Road Cycling and Para-cycling World Championships of 2024. This was announced on Thursday by the Swiss Cycling Federation (Swiss Cycling Federation). In the UCI Executive Committee during the celebration of the World Championships in Innsbruck the UCI granted the city the venue for the championships, although until today this announcement has not been made official.

It will be the third time that Zurich will host the World Cups Cycling after hosting the championship in 1929 and 1946. In addition, the appointment of 2024 will mean that Switzerland will host two road cycling world championships in just 5 years, since the Vaud / Valais area, where the UCI headquarters are located in Aigle, will host the Road Cycling Worlds of 2020. The one of 2024 will be the first time in which the World Cycling and Para-cycling in Route coincide in the same place and in the same period.
