Simone Velasco (Neri Sottoli-Selle Italy-KTM) has won the sprint in the fourth stage of Coppi e Bartoli Week of cycling, with departure and arrival in Forli.

The Italian Simone Velasco (Neri Sottoli-Selle Italia-KTM) has won the sprint in the fourth stage of the Week Coppi e Bartali cycling, with departure and arrival in Forli, 166.2 km, keeping the lead in the Australian Lucas Hamilton (Mitchelton Scott). Simone Velasco, 23, achieved his second win in 2019, after winning Trofeo Laigueglia.

The youngster born in Bolonia won the sprint, with a time of 4h 01m and 50s, a group composed of 45 runners, preceding the line of arrival to his compatriot Francesco Gavazzi (Androni Giocattoli Sidermec) and the Danish Alexander Kamp (Riwal Readynez), who were second and third, respectively. In the eighth position came the Spanish Jonathan Lastra (Caja Rural Seguros), being the seventh the Colombian Johnatan Cañaveral (Corports Biclicletas Strongman) .

El leader Hamilton entered twelfth, with the same time of the winner: while the Spanish Mikel Landa, winner in the stage of Thursday and fourth in the general, was thirty-ninth. This Saturday will be played the penultimate stage, with start and finish of Crevalcore, of 171.4 km.
