MotoE reacts after the drama: "Soon we will be back"

Héctor Garzo, Eric Granado, Bradley Smith ... The grid of the electric category stands in solidarity after the fire in the Andalusian layout.

There were still many aspects that remained to be discovered in a category that has put an end to the preseason tests much earlier than expected and also, of what all those who are part of it would have liked. The fire that affected the E-paddock of the circuit of Jerez has devastated like a hurricane the aspirations of the participants of MotoE in a season that, after the misfortune, will not start to roll on the scheduled date (May 5 in this same route) ), after the flames have destroyed most of the material that moved the FIM World Cup Ene Moto to the Spanish track.

After the event, the competition pilots have not been slow to react and despite all all agree in regret the material losses that all the teams have suffered, also coincide in that the luck has been to be able to tell it and, above all, in the desire they have to return to normal to begin with a new challenge that was welcomed with open arms and an illusion , which still remains intact. The FIM has not yet confirmed when the season will open but the grid will be ready as soon as possible:

Eric Granado: "The most important thing is that we are well, soon we will be back on the track with the MotoE".

Bradley Smith: "I am very proud to participate in this new championship and I am looking forward to the moment when we can be back on track."

Héctor Garzo: "Today is a sad day for the MotoE project, the test is over sooner than we thought, Fortunately, everyone is fine! We all support the families of Energica Motor Company and Enel X, and we hope to return as soon as possible! ".

Mike Di Meglio: " It had been a very good first day! A really bad night for MotoE! Good luck for the Energica Motor Company to rebuild the new bike! "

Niccolè Canepa: "It's a bad day for MotoE ... but we are in good hands and everything will be solved! I wish all the people involved luck, I am looking forward to getting back on the Energica bike soon!".

SIC58 Squadra Corse: "Sad because of the great fire that occurred in Jerez tonight, it has destroyed the garage of the MotoE but fortunately, and most importantly, we are all good".

Gresini Racing: "Bad news from Jerez this morning, around midnight the E-paddock caught fire, causing great damage and losses, fortunately there were no injuries."

The teams have also reacted to a day to forget and all have remained on the same line, demonstrating once again the unity and strength of the world of two wheels in the most complicated moments. Despite the drama, MotoE is committed to competing this season and the causes of the fire will be subjected to an investigation.
