Setién, before a defensive puzzle with a view to Rennes

Look at Bartra and Tello, who do not want to miss Europe or the 'end' of Mestalla. Sidnei, Junior and Feddal, far from his best version.

Quique Setién faces many challenges this February and looks askance at his defense to try to find balance again at the doors of the Europa League match against Rennes. The Betis coach has the doubt of Marc Barta and Tello still has to come back from his injury: with that, he looks to the imminent future with the aim of recovering the best version of pieces like Sidnei and Feddal, which are far from the level they reflected at other times of the season.

The best asset of Setién for his defense on Thursday is the return of Aissa Mandi after serving in league. The Algerian is the defensive leader of the team and will be a sure piece in the eleven that the Spaniard will put at stake in Rennes. It has, however, more worries on the table: the level of Javi Garcia decreases when he delays his position and therefore Bartra's turn becomes a priority issue. The ex-Barcelona will not risk if it is not one hundred percent before the imminent arrival of key duels in the calendar and the 'end' of Mestalla around the corner.

There is no reliability setién on the side . Without Tello, the Betis player who played the most minutes in this Europa League, Barragán and Francis reflected constant doubts in the last matches, while Júnior must recover his best physical version to deliver the start level of the course. A challenge for Setién that starts in Rennes this Thursday.
